Hey, look on metatalk Wolf­Daddy appre­ci­ates the true hor­ror and fear that chu­pacabra is sup­posed to instill in peo­ple. (the pas­tel blues and greens, and invit­ing foliage are a trick, to lure peo­ple in)

I think matt open­ing up metafil­ter to new peo­ple is a good idea, at first i thought it was a bad imple­men­ta­tion, and i still don’t think it’s great (kathryn keeps try­ing to get on, but is too slow enter­ing her data, at which point it tells her she should think about donat­ing) but it did seem like it was going down­hill in terms of inter­est. now there are a lot of posts and peo­ple seem to be get­ting along ok. i’ve also noticed a lot of unfa­mil­iar peo­ple post­ing that are not new, so maybe they think it’s fun again, or maybe they had ide­o­log­i­cal prob­lems with a closed com­mu­nity. who knows. i’m glad it’s hop­pin’ now though :P
