A Healthy Forest is a Dead Forest

Well, it’s been in the news for a while, but i finally read enough quotes to piss me off enough i needed to vent…

Forest fires in the western US… what is the solution? Chop them down. exactly, start logging the national forests. 2 or 3 years ago people would have been marching on washington, now though environmental concerns get a big back seat to people not wanting draconian copy-prevention, or those silly ACLU people who don’t want people to be detained for no reason… sorry trees.

this is the most depressing quote, about tort-reform, bush’s favorite sort of law:

“We’ll make sure that people have their voice, but aren’t able to effect change in any way,” Bush said.
