Minimal Compact

This is a very nice article outlining a plan for a collaborative constitution to govern groups that decide to adhere to it. It would be adaptable, and be altered and improved like open-source software. The main compact would be like the codebase, and individual groups could make distributions. There is also the possibility of having standard modules that could be added to make new distro-compacts. The author is aware of this paper on emergent democracy. I like where this is headed. Cory Doctorow’s book Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom has some of these ideas in it also.
