Children’s Mythology
The homeless kids in Miami have a really involved “mythology”:http://www.miaminewtimes.com/issues/1997-06-05/feature.html, very dark. It’s beautiful though, even kids that have had so much go wrong still see themselves as good, and strive towards that goal. This is religion’s good side, its reflection and reinforcement of the best qualities in ourselves.
