MT License

Phil Ringnalda has a interesting post about the new MT license, he actually read through it and it’s got some funny things lurking inside. Overall not terrible, not really good either. It doesn’t fall in the Google category, of still covering our asses, but doing it in a surprisingly non-evil way, and it’s certainly no GPL. What is says most clearly, I think, is that they either have poor legal representation, or vastly underestimated the amount of scrutiny they would be facing.

Anil reassures us in comments that there is certainly nothing permenant about this or any other MT license, and it will soon be changed again, somehow. Why do I find that less than positive?
