I just watched Event Horizon again last night, for some stupid reason I never made the connection to it being a remake of The Shining. I say remake and not based on because it is really quite similar, but not hacky or stolen feeling either. It is a good movie that doesn’t get nearly as much respect as it should I don’t think. The set design alone is very nice.
