CivicSpace

CivicSpace Labs is a funded continuation of the DeanSpace project. We are veterans of the Dean campaign web-effort and are now building the tool-set of our dreams. We are busily completing work on CivicSpace, a grassroots organizing platform that empowers collective action inside communities and cohesively connects remote groups of supporters.

That sounds interesting. I am one of the believers in the idea that it wasn’t Dean as much as it was his organization and willingness to allow more democratic control of his campaign that made him as popular as he was. Maybe if these tools are even more refined the next guy to use them will be able to more expertly share his views, and instill a sense of win-ability with the wider non-web mainstream.
