iTunes video too expensive

The cost is too high, I think. I would be less willing to pay for video than audio. Audio has more utility, I can burn it to CD and play it in my car, or listen to it at work. Video is just at home, at my computer. At my computer there is a lot of free video, there is also television. If my ipod played music videos of the songs i was listening to that would be a nice feature but not one I think I would pay for.

I’m not sure if I’m alone in this, but even $2 for DRMed video is too much. The content isn’t even the problem, I would really like to watch Lost, but I don’t buy dvd’s I don’t want to keep Lost on my computer in a way I can’t share it at all. I could deal with a subscription model, or no DRM, but not this setup.

I don’t blame apple, it’s the MPAA I’m sure. Why would I pay dvd price for something with less utility? And yes I know that sounds like the arguments people had about itms when it came out initially compared to buying cd’s but this small format drmed video has substantially less utility. You can’t share it witha friend in any way, you can’t watch it on tv, you can’t even watch it full screen. No thanks.
