Sometimes you just have to laugh at them, well most of the time I guess. So, there was another critical update omg?!?!/1/?1?! for windows, this one to stop an exploit that could you know, do what every windows vulnerability lets you do, control all aspects of the computer and drive over a network connection. There really is no other type of problem with windows. They had a clip art problem one time that let you do that. Really. Anyway, here is what this patch might do to your computer.

Installing the patch can cause serious problems, Microsoft said in an advisory posted to its Web site Friday. The patch could lock users out of their PC, prevent the Windows Firewall from starting, block certain applications from running or installing, and empty the network connections folder, among other things, the software maker said.

Here is the hilarious part, the response from microsoft

Even if users experience PC trouble after installing the patch, they will still be protected against any attack exploiting the Windows flaw, a Microsoft representative said.

You don’t say! People on digg are saying they should sell chainsaws as windows security, that’s apparently up to microsoft’s standards.
