No TV

So, I canceled my cable about a week ago, and I was kinda worried I wouldn’t have anything to do. Not that I watched a lot of television, but this coincided with my not playing warcraft so much anymore.

I did it because I was only watching West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate. I was paying for medium level cable (to get sci-fi), and tivo, and a phone line which was only for tivo. So basically paying a lot of money for 3 shows. I decided I would just do netflix, and save a lot of money.

Anyway, I think I picked a good time, with all the new IPTV things going on, it’s actually going pretty well. My sources of video now are DTV for some little clips and things. I really like the delicious popular video channel. Revision3 is also very good, I always liked the screensavers, and am a big fan of TWIT etc. I also downloaded one show from iTunes, but as I have said before I can’t see myself doing that much. First, Lost is the only show I would even want to watch, and secondly the quality is too poor. Anyway, that’s my fun roundup now, give it a couple months and I bet it will be even better. DTV is still in beta!
