The RIAA had a bad hearing yesterday about the broadcast flag, and audio flags, from EFF:

And when Stevens asked whether with the audio flag in place he would be able to record from the radio and put the shows onto his iPod: that’s when the RIAA’s Mitch Bainwol really began to sweat.

I think I have a solution. Tech companies, like Apple, Microsoft etc need to send lawmakers every product they have along with free installation and tutoring. Honestly, how much would that cost? And what would you get in return? Maybe the products couldn’t be free, but our lawmakers need to know how their laws are effecting people that actually use the products. It’s nice to see this one has an ipod.
