Net Neutrality

A very good essay about net neutrality by Daniel Berninger. There were some hearings about it today, Google’s Vint Cerf testified (now at google, he also created TCP/IP). Both of those documents are quite good.

I really hope the internet wins this fight. Over and over it seems we have to fight tooth and nail against the previously dominant industry. Has it always been this hard historically, or are we at a more unique point? The RIAA, MPAA, and Telephone companies are all protecting their obsolete business models at the cost of progress. I just wonder if the fight was this rough with every disruptive technology.
