Cargo Cults
This is really amazing. I had no idea people did this. If you can’t click through it is a story in the Smithsonian magazine about cargo cults, which is a religious activity anthropologists have found where people worship military people in the developed world that at one time descended on their land en mass, and are now gone. They pray etc for the return or the return of goods (cargo). Amazing.
