Geometry Wars

Here is a crazy video of someone breaking the geometry wars record. A friend of mine at work, Brandon, is in the top 50 high scorers in the whole game which is kinda crazy. It’s a super fun game apparently, and I don’t think Microsoft ever planned on it being so huge. It’s one of the arcade games which means you just download it from xbox live for something like $5.

It’s cool that such a small game took off and became so popular but it’s weird at the same time. This huge platform and by far the biggest game anyone talks about is this, a tiny shooter much more similar to galaga than it is to world of warcraft or half life.
