VRM

Or Vendor relationship management. This is one of those things I’m vaguely interested in, but never talk about because I can’t imagine anyone I know actually sharing the interest. So, I’ll write about it here! Anyway, I hope this works out, but I can’t really say I share the optimism of the majority of people who talk about it. I don’t think it’s a sure thing at all. I do agree that in a few years we will have the technology to do it, and maybe that is all it takes. Some people will try and do it sooner than that, and some people will jump on board.

Maybe it won’t be for everyone though, that is something I should consider. Perhaps in a few years people that use VRMs will benefit from them, and people who don’t won’t care. In a best case scenario for the VRM people, maybe the people that don’t care will still be using VRM’s they just won’t know. I do think it’s something worth watching though, as it is very tied to identity, which will have a less-debatable impact on our future.
