The countries that are on the us side include Sudan, Libya, Iraq and Iran. wait! i see some AXIS OF EVIL countries there! what happened to this black and white view of the world bush? surely that’s not just rhetoric for the masses… This wonderful partnership apparently came to be because many Islamic countries were upset with a document that would “include explicit references to the need to protect prostitutes, intravenous drug users and ‘men who have sex with men’ from contracting AIDS.” I suppose it’s assumed to be self-evident that these groups deserve no protection. “The Vatican and so many NGOs came up to us saying this is exactly the same position we are defending.”

Bravo, when rules that protect other people’s rights get in the way of your personal beliefs they are meant to be broken!

This statement the one of the most incomprehensible views I have ever seen. How dare an institution who fights wars, systematically oppresses countries and individuals with millennia old mythology to amass power, and now sexually molests children lecture anyone? How dare they attack a culture that is more open, more free, and more tolerant than their limited ideal. If they can’t control their sheep though anything other than hate, intolerance, and misdirection maybe it is time they lose some of those sheep.

in that same study they they found less than 1% of the molesters were gay or lesbian. so bravo, church, good job mixing hate, ignorance, and a reluctance to change your own policies even at the expense of children! this is a good resource from glaad.
