A friend of mine told me once, in regards to arguing with anger-filled people on irc, “Just because a monkey can use a keyboard doesn’t mean you have to argue with it”. Billed as Brad Pitt’s best performance too! I mean really, has that critic seen other films with him? I mean of the top of my head, Legends of the Fall, Interview with the Vampire, 12 Monkeys, Meet Joe Black, Fight Club…

I think this film might particularly appeal to people that have very poor communication and decision making skills. For people like that it must seem like the world unfolds around them very much like this movie, outcomes decoupled from their cause, communication getting in the way more than it helps. From that perspective I guess I can appreciate it, a window into the world of the stupid.
